SOUTH PARADE STAFF

In its growing ministry, South Parade has several paid workers covering many main areas of the church's work.

Brian Nicholls: Senior Pastor

Brian joined South Parade as Senior Pastor in September 2005, having previously been Regional Minister Team Leader with the Heart of England Baptist Association in the West Midlands.

He was born in Durham where his parents were church planters. At 15 he realised that God was calling him into ministry, and later trained at Northern Baptist College before becoming minister for nine years in four village Baptist Churches on the edge of the Peak District. For the next 13 years he was Senior Pastor at Mansfield Road Baptist Church in Nottingham before moving to the Heart of England in 1995.

Married to Elsie, a Teacher, with four grown up children, Brian loves playing with his grandchildren, walking, Land Rovers, trains, curry and music. Above all he is passionate about the Good News of Jesus, and loves to see people discovering faith for themselves.

Richard Pollard: Associate Pastor.

Heather McLeen: Full-time Children's Worker.

Dave Bartram: Full-time Youth Worker.

Margaret Turner: Full-time Administration Manager.

OUR LINKS

We are a member of the Evangelical Alliance and local gatherings of the Churches Together in England ecumenical groups.

South Parade belongs to the Yorkshire Association (YBA) of the Baptist Union of Great Britain, which links over 2000 independent fellowships nation-wide.

We also have direct links with the Baptist Missionary Society.

South Parade is in a "cluster" relationship with Blenheim Baptist Church. The two churches seek to support and encourage one another in their areas of witness and service.
